Setting Up The GoPro

Power on the GoPro by pressing the “Mode” button for 1 second.

The red LED should flash.

Press the WiFi Button on the Side of the GoPro

The blue LED should turn on and flash.

Press the WiFi button a second time to select, “GoPro App.”

Press the red shutter button on the top of to GoPro to enter the menu, and press the power mode button on the front of the GoPro to select, “GOPRO APP.” Then press the red shutter button one more time to make the GoPro discoverable by a phone.

Make sure the WiFi on the GoPro is turned off after configuring the camera angle.  Using the phone provided, select, “Settings.”


Under Settings >> Select “Wireless and Networks.”


Under Wireless & networks >> Select “WiFi Settings”


 Under “WiFi settings,” >> Select “WiFi” and the WiFi on the phone will turn on.  


Back on the home screen, select the GoPro App.  Once you have the GoPro app open, tap, “Connect + Control.”


You should be able to see what the GoPro sees through the viewfinder on the GoPro App.  This will allow you to set up the camera in a proper position where you can see the entire stage and the speaker.  Ensure that you can get a good view of the projector display as well.


When you have completed the visual setup of the GoPro, remember to press the WiFi button a second time to turn off the GoPro WiFi.  This is critical to save battery life.

Finally, plug in the external microphone adapter into the USB port as shown.  Set up the microphone in a good location, and you are ready to go!  Turn off the GoPro until the presentation begins.
